Dissemination
Sharing What Works
To fulfill our mission to build the capacity of states to provide local education agencies with enhanced services related to dropout prevention and re-entry programs, we are committed to making the knowledge base on dropout prevention for students with disabilities widely available. NDPC-SD actively disseminates knowledge and information about effective dropout prevention programs and policies. The Center's dissemination activities enhance access to information about dropout prevention for our diverse group of stakeholders.
NDPC-SD's bilingual website serves as our primary vehicle for dissemination of dropout prevention information and resources. The Center employs additional means of dissemination, which include the Big IDEAs electronic newsletter; a variety of print materials; Center staff's participation and delivery of presentations at OSEP's and other special education meetings, forums, and institutes; and direct mailings/e-mailings to states and targeted education agencies. Additionally, the Center's website appears as a primary link for dropout prevention information on many state and local education agency websites.
